The app has great potential. When it works it works great. When it does not work then it does not work so well. When taking a picture it sometimes closes out and you lose the pictures. Needs to be fixed

Crashes every time I use star trail. Pls fix it. Im on an iPhone 6 and iOS 8.1.2

Best app out there for photo work - nighttime.

Was extremely lucky when northern lights showed unexpectedly late in season, no tripod, no camera with manual settings, this worked on iPhone 6+

When I found this app I thought why not. I wanted something that gave me more control over night shots after playing with it for five days and taking lots of different pictures night and day. It is quite amazing the shots that Ive taken Are great. I have been able to actually see clouds at night with the stars clearly visible and great quality without too much noise. Well done well done. This is not just a recommendation this one is a must for night lowlight camera shooters.

Its a good and useful app for the iPad which does not have a flash. I loved this app a lot

The picture quality is very grainy. I see no difference between Apple camera (no flash) an this one.

I dont ever give reviews for apps, but NightCap Pro is definitely one worth bragging about. I tried it out for the first time last night during a Lyrid meteor shower, and Ive been raving about the app ever since. Im not a photographer, by any means, but NightCap Pro captured shots that made me feel like a dang professional! Its super easy to use, and the online tutorials gave me plenty of info on what to look for during my stargazing adventures. After the meteor shower, I was so happy with my photo results that I emailed the shots to the app developers (using the contact info found on the NightCap Pro website), and I received an immediate response from Chris Wood explaining what I had captured. It was truly an unexpected surprise to hear back from him, and it made me feel very appreciated as a paying customer. Basically, the NightCap Pro app is an absolute MUST have and worth every penny!

The Nightcap Pro App is the best!! It has turned my iPhone into the best night time camera!! With all the settings to play with you can create some great pictures of #ISS, Iridium Flares, And trailing stars.. As well as some neat scenic pictures are created with long exposure setting. The use of this app during light is also useful using the long exposure with moving water!!! The tech support is excellent.. Chris @Nightcap has been a great help and great response time and information to help me take some really neat pictures.. And thanks to Andy Stones one of the great I Photographers who pointed me in the right direction to purchase this fantastic app. Thanks Brian

I now both use Nightcap Pro and Camera+ for my iphone6. Impressive output from the TIFF file format.

I dabble in astrophotography using my iPhone. Ive found NightCap Pro to be indispensable for long exposure images where I capture passes of the International Space Station as well as other bright satellites. Ive also left the app running to capture the circular pattern of stars across the sky over an hour or more of movement, with results I never thought possible with a phone! The new interface allows for easy locking and manually adjusting of the brightness and focus, and several options for automatic, multiple exposures have led me to experiment and even leave my phone out over night to capture meteor showers. When not photographing stars, Ive found the nighttime photographs to come out remarkably clear. Even well-lit indoor pictures can be creatively manipulated, such as when I set my phone on a tripod in a crowded museum and stood still, so that the folks around me blended into the background, leaving me alone in a crowded exhibit. The more I play, the more creative I get and the more I discover the remarkable features of this app. You wont be disappointed!

This app is amazing. I have used it on both an iPhone 5c and an iPad 4. Laugh if you want . The pictures have been remarkable. You MUST watch the YouTube videos. You also need to learn the basics of long exposure. Any bad review of this app is because both of these things are necessary to getting very high quality pictures from this app. Kudos to the developer from a professional photographer.

With my iPhone all I got was a black screen when I tried to take a picture of the stars. but once I got this app I was actually able to get a decent picture of them!

Deleted and redownloaded. No help. Cant open app

I am so happy to finally see an App for the iPhone 6 plus that really works taking Video and Photos. I see one review before mine and they gave it a bad review. Maybe there is a problem on their phone cant say. Let me tell you that there is a little getting use to the settings but when you spend just a little time practicing and learn the best setting you will be amazed how this app works. I was using a fantastic app called NightModes but when IOS 8.4 came along NightModes was useless. I am running IOS 8.4 and have no issues at all. This app surpasses the features in NightModes by a long shot. One being that this one does Video Nightshots. Dont be afraid to spend an extra dollar on this one. Youll be glad you did. Id like to personally thank the Developers for the work you all have put into making this for what I feel is a professional application and should listed thereof. I am going to check back in a while to see if anybody has commented on this app. Would like to hear more of people and how it works. Wish there was some way of me showing these beautiful pics/videos. Worked before this update, now crashes a lot. Bummer.

I was really excited for this app but when I took it out for star pictures all of my pictures were totally black and is completely confusing to use

Bought this based on an article on how to shoot stars with your phone. Worst app ever! Its so damned confusing. You press things and nothing happens, you press the shutter and a lock appears on the screen and no pic is taken. Horrible app.

Once I had everything set up and took the photo it freezes the whole app which then needs to be closed and re-opened.

Doesnt take good pictures at all. Hard to use and setup, so un intuitive.
